About us and what we do

 

We are a registered charity (No. 1064561) where local volunteers provide practical help to the people of Amesbury & Boscombe Down.  The most popular form of assistance is our volunteers using their cars to take those unable to drive or use public transport to medical or social appointments.  Volunteers are paid  to cover their costs but the Link relies on donations from the users and local organisations to pay volunteer mileage and administration costs.

We also own and run a "Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle" (WAV), a people carrier converted to accommodate a person seated in their wheelchair for those unable to transfer from a wheelchair to a normal car seat.
